Violinist Kay Stern and pianist Joan Nagano, two extraordinarily talented classical musicians, will be performing a very special benefit concert for Cazadero Performing Arts Camp on Sunday, May 2nd, at 3 PM in Berkeley. ?
Stern, the Concertmaster of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra since 1994, has many television and radio appearances under her belt including PBS?s ?Live from Lincoln Center,? and Garrison Keillor?s ?A Prairie Home Companion.?? Stern?s touch on violin has been described as "graceful, precise, alternately subtle and powerful, loaded with extraordinary technique and sweet, pure tones."?
Internationally acclaimed pianist Joan Nagano has been the focus of programs heard on KQED and KPFA-FM, and elsewhere. Nagano?s command of the piano is "exceptional, and she flawlessly glides through both delicate nuance and thundering passages with ease."? The Stern-Nagano musical partnership is a joy to behold.
This very special event will consist of an intimate hour-long concert followed by a reception with refreshments and light hors d?oeuvres. Tickets to this event are $25 general admission, or $10 for Caz families and donors. We hope you can join us for what promises to be a very special afternoon! This event is expected to sell out, so get your tickets early.
