At camp, proud parents, outstanding staff and an incredible setting support our amazing campers while they make musical discoveries and great new friends, all under the canopy of those majestic redwoods. After six days of fun, music, friends, and general camp silliness, our Young Musician session ended with another fabulous concert. We wait with anticipation for the remaining sessions and look forward to their moving performances as the summer progresses.
Back at our Berkeley office, we continue the craziness that is summer as well. The excitement and energy of Bus Days, the last minute registration rush, never-ending fundraising, planning for fall JumpStart Retreats, and yes, even planning for Summer 2011 consume our days! In other news, work on our Taproot Foundation website redesign is underway, which brought a professional photographer to the camp for the Young Musicians session with some amazing results. We look forward to sharing it all with you this fall when we unveil the new look.
We are truly grateful that enrollment is returning to normal levels after last years dip. Looking ahead, our Board of Directors is committed to ensuring that Caz continues to deliver a top quality music and camp experience that inspires kids to learn and grow; to continue fill the camp with these amazing campers; to ensure the facility is maintained and upgraded to meet the demands of our growing camper base; and to secure the long-term health of Cazadero Music Camp so that we can faithfully serve its remarkable young musicians for the next 50 years and beyond!
